Cup Day

Saturday was FA cup final day

and it was a realization that either the worlds changed or I have.

Every cup final day used to be spent...

Camped in a super busy pub

Minimum 20 strong with pals

Regardless of who was playing it was an event,

Plenty of booze laughter and serious piss taking

Saturday , I wasn’t in the pub.

And if I had been I would need a bit more room to be able to see the game and get a drink

Not sure if it’s something the young’ens kept going (The, it’s cup final day ultimate plan) but It used to be a quality day.

Up there with the random “pop out bank holiday Sunday session” that somehow ended up in beebers night club.

The point is I have no idea if the game has changed as much as I have.

Or if beebers is even still in Bromley in any shape or form.

But I do know I’ve got older and my body couldn’t take the physical alcohol abuse that it used to be put through.

There is a fact and that is we are getting older,

But that doesn’t mean we should be getting worse,

Our study shouldn’t stop at school,

Our improvement of our body shouldn’t stop at marriage

And our improvement of our golf shouldn’t stop at new clubs

If you wanna plan that is as awesome as an FA cup final day in the early 2000’s

Then we'll help you build it here,

Happy Saturday

Prince Charles And Tom Cruise

So Wednesday I had to pop to the Levi store In regent street,

Not to stock up on 501’s but to check out an event for a client

Me and a pal of mine, we’ll call him Tony, (that’s his name) walked down Goodge street.

This was around 10.10am

Police bikes with whistles (not seen that before) closed the road off for prince Charles and his Mrs to fly by with his windows open.

Twenty minutes later whilst walking down regent street we see Tom Cruise in the back of a motor, window down,

With a double take from myself and Tony (and him stopping, pointing and saying that’s Tom cruise) Tom looking down at something done his tinted window up without breaking a pose (could even have been his driver doing the window up)

Now what’s the point of this story?

At no point do either of us decide to pull out our phone and take a photo of famous people.

(Which is ironic as we had both just taken photos of the flags that fly high all the way down regent street and when you see them brings a sense of pride)

We didn’t think of taking a photo or a selfie of famous people cos we are...

Men...

Pushing 40....

And probably still value a footballer from the 90’s autograph more then a phota of people that don’t play sport.

That’s the thing, we can embrace and use the cool-stuff the young spingers are using but...

We came from a different age.

Where porn was something you had to get from the dirty fella at work and digital video was something that was on MTV

And MTV for some reason just played music.

So if you want a Golf performance program that uses all the cool stuff the kids are using but....

Built,

Studied

And used by fellas that know what the 1987 storm was like and remember the schools being closed .....

then step up to unbreakable cos it may be for YOU

Its The Should's That Will Get Ya

Had to work late last night and literally couldn't be f*cked,

After spending 20 minutes organising my desk and a further 15 minutes searching for some music on youtube (and actually watching clips of Idiot abroad )

The conclusion was that no matter how late I stayed, the work would not get done,

I felt Lazy.

Didn't have the motivation and most importantly the FEAR to get things done.

Proper "who gives a sh*t mode" so....

I went home, and this morning I'm fighting fires left and right.

Nothing can make you pull more out of the bag than a propper full scale, under pressure war.

I SHOULD have done more yesterday.

I SHOULD not be this far behind

I SHOULD have been better prepared but the fact is......

it's the SHOULD's that will cause you the most pain and needless suffering because

It's in the past.

Nothing can be done to change it

But it can be improved.

Living in the past just creates pain.

So my lesson was I needed more fire last night and I need to get more leverage.

We cant change the past but we can learn for it.

Three simple questions

What happened?

What did I learn?

How can it be improved?

Use these to be better today than yesterday, or of course

Just say f*ck it and have a pint.

Sometimes that works just as good.
