Make them choke on their passive pessimism.

If you want to change but seem to be getting resistance from others.

Even those closest to you, may not be in your best interest to listen to them.

They say,

“You can’t do that” or

“How long are you gonna keep doing that” or the best one

“When will you give up and do something else?”

This can feel like those closest to you want you to fail even though they say it’s because they don’t want you to fail that they are saying what they are saying.

However..

Going after what you want could be showing up what,

They are NOT doing.. Or worse NOT WILLING TO DO.

You have this in fitness all the time, outside influence like.

“Why are you trying that?”

“I don’t think that will work”

“You won’t be able to stick to that”

And it can be a dent in your confidence because you don’t have the results yet and the self-doubt you feel can be made worse by those closest to you.
There are two ways around this.

1. Flip them off and argue with them and not move forward, or

2. Prove them wrong…

Even the thought of proving them wrong is enough to give you confidence.

It’s why sports teams will use anything to create the Them and Us divide, as it can be used as a huge motivator.

There is a saying:

“Stay away from negative people, they can find a problem in every solution”

But I prefer it this way…

“Play on the negative words of people to get you where you need to GO”

With trying to prove someone wrong you have a snipers focus and a drive to succeed.

Not sure if you’ve seen the “Last Dance” but in it, there is a story about how Michael Jordan was motivated by a comment about him not being the player he was.
But the player who said it not only didn’t say it but Jordan also knew that the fella didn’t say it.

He still used it to motivate him to play and absolutely dominate.

So the next time someones so-called “Help” stops you in your tracks going after what you want just,

Use that as fuel to do what’s needed and Outwork Your Competition.

And if the competition is you and who you were yesterday then you have an endless supply and benchmark to beat every single day.

Wanna see how we do the above Michael Jordan tactic ..

Unconfidently Stuck

A short missed putt can seriously mess with your confidence on the next hole right?

The next time you have a similar putt, you start adding pressure to yourself.

What if I miss this one, what will putting be like from here on, what will this miss do for my score?

Then you role it in and the pressure is off and that serious lack of self doubt is gone (at least for now)

Yet most people live with this type of up and down lack of confidence in themselves on a daily basis in one shape or form.

They don't want to be this way, they tell themselves the right things. Act confident, Make jokes about it,

Chest out, shoulders back bulldog spirit and that works until it doesn't.

At some point we all come up against something that takes more confidence than we have..

It could be on the golf course or in your body and the way it feels, looks or performs.

Yet, if we hide from what the obstacle is it actually becomes a bigger problem.

Take having a lack of energy to train and get better.

That leaks over into energy with your family and energy at work all which adds your confidence in the original problem getting worse.

And it repeats until you either blow up on those around you or blow out with food, booze or your sedation drug of choice..

It's in this repeating pattern that most people look to change,

Check out plans, programs, equipment, mentors, tools, tactics or just information.

However they do it just enough to get out of the pain they are in and not enough to physically change.

What could be possible if you just did what you set out to do today and stuck to it for more than a few days.

What if you followed a simple system, a container of thinking that got you so clear on what you had to do that you had the drive to stay committed to your targets.

One thing is for sure is that people who do the same stuff stay the same.

Those who try new things do fail, that is true.

But they also change.

A suggestion if I may.

If you are not where you want to be right now then do something to change it.

Believe that you are 100% responsible for the action you decide to take.

Good or bad

Right or Wrong

Succeed or Fail

A simple way to get clear is to understand where you are, where you want to go, what skill sets you need and most importantly what you need to believe to be committed to doing the work required.

I teach this in the Fairway 4 system and you can learn more about that here if you choose.
https://www.unbreakablegolfers.com

But one thing's undebatable.

Your results today are based on the actions you take TODAY.

And those actions are driven by what you believe is possible.

The wrong action on the right info

If you want to know that the fitness you do will get you the result you want.

There are a few things you can do…

One is a quick youtube search...

This will give you so much information on what you should do, what you should focus on and plenty of talk about what will bring you the greatest results...

Most people have:
Tried eating healthy,
Tried Working out,
Tried and searched youtube for plans but, that just makes them more confused...

Looking at stuff to lose inches around that lockdown derby, then changing their mind to getting stronger, then change it again to making their golf better, then they realise they’ve wasted a lot of time,

got nowhere and somehow have ended up watching something on youtube that is completely unrelated, unproductive and clearly a waste of time.

Don't get me wrong, doing it this way can give you some good ideas (even great ones), lead you to try a few things, feel good about yourself but it’s never stuck and in the end, you didn't see any long term results…

If youtube was the answer all golfers would be golf coaches and everyone would be ripped looking like the next fella on the Men's Health cover.

All while being:

Healthier,

Powerful,

And getting better every day.

But they are not are they.

Golfers are still searching for and want a plan they can follow,

that they can start whenever they want,

stay committed to, get the results they set for themselves that they feel they deserve in their body and their golf.

And they don't want to start something else that's new and not follow through on it AGAIN.

And if they don’t sort this issue out they could:
be in worse shape than when they went into lockdown,
have wasted the time they have had available,
have learnt more bad habits and feel less confident,
And may even have lost distance meaning their scores could go up.

However,

If they just chose ONE THING and decided to be 100% COMMITTED to that thing for some time, what they will have is not only results but

DATA.

Data of what’s working, what’s not working and what’s needed to course correct to stay on target...

If this is you, stop messing about, pick one thing and be ruthlessly committed to it…

Stop making things more difficult than they need to be and have one simple action that will move you closer to what you say you want...

It could be the GolfMob 30 day challenge and if it is then my youtube infested friend, the link to know more is under this sentence.

And above this one...

The 4 Powerful Strategies

There are 4 strategies that lay on top of the 4 key mindsets that you need to move forward in your:

Confidence,

Body and your golf.

First thing, we attack the number one underlying issue...

The one thing that's massively holding you back, it could be from the movement assessment, it could be from the food you eat but we find that one thing and attack that first…

Imagine a boat in the water that is stuck and will not move.

It has a brand new engine put in, full of fuel, but it's still tied up and anchored down...

We need to remove that anchor.

The anchor is the number one issue and more often than not it is the one thing you are avoiding.

The best thing about trying to fix one thing is that the progress from it leaks over into the other areas of your life.

Focusing on one thing, stops you jumping from one thing to another which only ends up never getting you anywhere.

You're just spinning your wheels, with no real progress, so we target and we attack the first most important issue that's holding you back.

Next up we daily chip away at the stories and the obstacles to changing your habits and behaviours that have become unconscious to you.

The key here is daily, and there are some tools that are part of The GolfMob 30 Day Challenge that seem like mindset hacks that are simple to implement daily.

You are using them to create clarity in your mind so that you can fix, change and find out what's possible for you.

The third thing, we train, not exercise, we train daily at the level that you're at now.

This could be two minutes breathing exercises or it could be 45 minutes of power work, it depends what level you're at and it doesn't matter what anyone else's level is….you're trying to improve yourself,

Every single day.

Finally,

We get and focus all of that, training all of the stories, everything that we're doing we blend it into motor pattern learning and how your body learns new patterns and remembers old ones.

There are patterns and movements that you used to do effortlessly that you no longer do because of age, tightness, food, lifestyle choices and your mind.

Losing movement is a huge issue and it is just accepted because you surround yourself with people who are not willing to do the work required to get better..

Anyway, The GolfMob 30 day challenge will give you more yards and less inches in under 30 days.

Become better by changing the things that currently define you, which are your habits, your behaviours and they are backed up by the stories you tell yourself.

The Fairway 4 System of golf fitness

The fairway 4 is a system that I’ve put together and it's based around everything that I’ve learned with:

Personal development,

The Titleist Performance Institute,

Fitness and Nutrition,

and it's all coupled together in a simple formula that works with anything that requires getting better at a skill.
It's a framework that I can put anything in that I teach, anything that I give a client, any skill set to implement and it is the easiest way to think about anything complex.

1 Figures

Figures are your exact numbers of where you are today, your handicap today, how far you hit a golf ball

with your seven iron today, your weight on the scale today, your waistline today, your current thinking patterns about how you deal with stress today.

The current stories that you're telling yourself that are holding you back.

With figures, we get our baseline...

2 Focus
What are the mindsets that we need to know,

What are the habits and behaviours that must be broken or changed

What are the stories that must be shattered and rebuilt to continue to move forward?

3 Fitness

Fitness is food, fitness is movement, fitness is your flexibility, fitness is your energy, fitness is your stamina, fitness is your strength.

All of these key actions move you, propel you forward if you want to get better.

4 Function

How does it all function and help the game of golf?

As an obsessed golfer, obsessed with the game, how can you attach any of your outcomes to something you're obsessed with.

With obsession, you don’t need motivation,

You don’t need hype.

Obsession keeps you consistent, it keeps you accountable and it stops all the “I can’t” attitude.

The GolfMob 30 day Challenge will allow you to Gain yards and lose inches in under 30 days by linking your obsession with golf to the results you want.
