Where is it?

So this morning my daughter comes walking down the corridor with one blue shoe on, and one foot with just a sock. 

She then asks “Do I look silly like this?” 

You can imagine what followed, we couldn't find my daughter's shoe anywhere, looking under tables, in every bedroom, outside, on the trampoline, even in the pool with no results. 

I’m now looking up at the clock on the wall knowing that it’s going to make us late while asking her where she put it... 

At this point, I pick up the bag that I placed on the floor only to find that it was under the bag. 

Panic over, 

If you are not aware of what's underneath you can never be ready. 

Preparing your body for what you want to achieve comes down to being aware of what is underneath the surface that will hold you back...

If you don't prepare your mind for what you plan to put your body through you will never stay committed to the actions that will give you the results. 

It doesn't matter if you are overweight, lack confidence in yourself or feels you don't have the balls to go after what you want until you get your mind right the wanted outcome just isn't possible. 

You can lose weight, have more confidence, and build the courage to go after what you want if you;

Get your mind right for what needs to be done. 

You need to focus on your thinking before you do anything if you want to get the best results... 

Be clear, this is not positive thinking, it’s about challenging the stories and beliefs that have been ingrained in you over the years that currently hold you back. 

Change them, and then see what's possible

The Nonsexy Non Secret

Not sure who will be the next “face” of the this years Xmas exercise video. 

You know the ones with the before and after pictures of a people off the telly. 

Picture one looking miserable, bad posture, bad lighting …..

Picture two slimmer with a massive smile on their face all in good lighting and somehow they can now stand up straight. 

But what these pictures don’t tell you, and probably don’t want you to know is:

They’re 2 things anybody can do to get leaner. 

Two simple things that will change ANYONE'S body. 

But the secret isn’t sexy. 

Eat better and exercise every day. 

That’s it.

That is all anyone has to do and is not really a secret is it. 

Then why do most people (and it is most people)

Struggle with their weight.

The answer falls under one thing and one thing only, which is:

The way they think about food and themselves.

Are those two things?

Who cares, point is this,

YOUR thoughts dictate your actions. 

Your actions are based on beliefs and habits which were formed by thoughts that are just played over and over and over until they become true… 

Think of this,

You hear a unbelievable story in the news, from a pal or online.

Your first reaction is "Thats Bullsh*t"

Then you hear the story again and again and again, you’ve now heard that story so many times. 

You now start to believe it…..

What changed?

Nothing, no new facts, no new evidence that proves you wrong, just the consistency of the message was enough for you to slightly change your opinion. 

So if you get a thought in your head and you hear it again and again and again.

The consistency of that message becomes a belief, which becomes a habit until it becomes “WHAT IS”. 

Do you know what mine was?

"No one will want to listen to a fella out of Mottingham who doesn't pronounce any word beginning with an “H” or “TH” properly or play of scratch talk about Golf” 

And for years this kept me stuck, regardless of the results I was getting for golfers in their body, mind and golf… 

Then in 2016 a mad mentor from South shields said: 

"Fxck their opinions, Results are all that matters"

And showed me a way to question my thoughts, beliefs and habits. 

People think they're stuck making the same mistakes in their body over and over again.. 

But that is just a thought and it is not even true.

All the gear and not even near

Trying to convince golfers of anything is hard. 

They have bought all the gear that promised to make them hit the ball further, 

The drivers, 

The irons, 

The hybrids, 

The 4 different wedges, 

The balls that spin more, 

The balls that spin less, 

And most of it not bringing too much of an improvement... 

So telling a golfer to look after himself and at the same time making his golf and his life better is a hard sell...

That's why I make golfers jump through hoops to get into any of my programs. 

Everything I have takes commitment and consistency, and having those two things removes all excuses. 

With commitment and consistency progress is inevitable, and excuses are weak. 

That being said most golfers could improve more than their golf if they just had a plan (one that is simple to stick to) and the commitment to be consistent

And also having the tools to not beat themselves up when things go wrong and get back on track without spiralling out of control. 

Want to get better, pick a plan and stick to it for at least a month.

They’re gonna talk sh1t anyway

They’re gonna talk sh1t anyway

What is it you have not been brave enough or clear enough to take a stand on. 

Most people won’t take a stand as they are terrified of criticism, or scared of failing, or being attacked and judged.

I have not done things in the past that would have made my life better because I didn’t think I was ready, and that it could lead to criticism of what it is I was going after.


But that is not leading by example, living a way that allows you to grow and get better.

When does it stop, when does not having the courage to go after what you want cost you more long term.

Hiding is so much more painful and hurts more than taking a stand and having the courage to go after what you want, regardless of the opinions of others.

The fact is people are gonna talk sh1t anyway, they might as well talk sh1t while you go after what you want.

What if you have been handed the tools to make it better but the fear stops you taking action.


So a question to you is:

What do you want and what's the current fear that is stopping you from going after it?

Is it your body, do you feel you could get hurt?

Is it that you think you’re not good enough?

Or is it that others wouldn’t agree and that conflict feels too much hassle right now?

If it’s people talking sh1t there is nothing you can do about that, because the fans in stands talk, the players on the pitch play and you can be either a fan or a player you can’t be both.

This man is causing a bit of a stir

Something I saw recently was someone asking if what he was doing was unfair 

And by the responses it got me thinking how some people make their progress a sham 

Some were just taking the piss.


some were desperate for his results, but would never be willing to put in the work, and 

others would be willing to do the work if they just knew how to get started,

Now let's be clear, most people aren't willing to put in the work that will get them the results they want… ,

Mostly because they have other priorities, and are happy to prioritise them. 

Yet there are a small group of people that will not put in the work, but believe because someone else's will it somehow makes it unfair.

However, there is only one really unfair thing, and that is there are some people who truly believe that their results are not caused by their actions… 

Everyone wants the magic pill.

Magic driver. 

Magic food.

The Magic exercise. 

Whatever it might be, it comes down to

Doing the work, daily.

Getting up when everyone else is asleep,

working late when everyone is at home.

Not eating the foods the masses are eating, 

training once everyone has finished training

At every level, you will have those that are willing to do the work. And those that won't.

And so it is with unbreakable golfers.

Those that sign up will learn more about the body, the mind, nutrition and how it all impacts the golf swing 

But you will only get out of it what you put in…

The guys that do, will be sitting with better bodies, more power, more energy, more distance, more confidence, as they will all have put the work in…

The type of work you do when nobody is watching so you show up and look like an overnight success.
